Cuban Sandwich Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 1 loaf Cuban bread (or other soft, crusty bread)
    • 1 lb. sliced Hahn’s ham
    • 1 lb. sliced roast pork
    • 3 tbsp. unsalted butter
    • 2-3 tbsp. yellow mustard
    • 6-8 slices of swiss cheese
    • 1 cup sliced dill pickles

    Method

    1
    1. Slice loaf of Cubano bread in half lengthwise and then cut into four equal sections.
    2. Spread bottom pieces of bread with the mustard. Then layer the cheese, ham, pork, and pickles on top. Top the sandwiches with the remaining pieces of bread.
    3. In a grill pan over medium-high heat, add the butter. Once melted, add the sandwiches.
    4. While cooking, press the sandwiches down with a cast iron skillet. When browned on one side, flip and press again.
    5. Plate and enjoy!
