Ingredients
- 1 lb. French Bread
- 10 slices of Hahn’s bacon, chopped
- 1 sweet white onion, minced
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1½ cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, minced
- 1 tsp dried sage
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- A few pats of butter
Method

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Slice your bread into small cubes, and place into a large bowl.
- Fry chopped bacon in a skillet over medium high heat until crispy.
- Remove bacon and let drain on paper towel before adding to bowl with bread cubes.
- Leave a bit of bacon fat in the skillet and add the onion and celery.
- Saute on medium heat until translucent and slightly golden. Then add vegetable mixture to the bowl with the bread and bacon.
- Add your herbs and spices to the bowl, along with the chicken broth.
- Mix well! Feel free to add more chicken broth if you like a wetter stuffing.
- Add stuffing mixture to a greased casserole dish and top with a few pats of butter.
- Bake covered for 30 minutes, and then uncovered for another 30 minutes.
